FAQ
Gainesville FL 35mm film scanning FAQ — scan-only vs mail-in.
Short answers for already developed 35mm. If yours is not here, write filmscans@256agents.com.
Do you develop film?
No. filmscans is scan-only. Send 35mm that is already developed. Florida Film Club in the region does process film; we do not. Wet process is not on this menu.
Are you a VHS / slide / family-archive shop?
No. We are not EverPresent and we do not take VHS, Hi8, or mixed analog archives. 35mm camera scans of already developed film, plus table-top photo/print digitizing. Slides here means E-6 35mm on the Autocarrier, not a slide-tray transfer service.
What formats do you scan?
35mm only: C-41 color negative, black & white, and E-6 slide. Uncut rolls and strips as short as three frames. No 120 / medium format.
Do you do infrared dust removal?
No. This is a standard Filmomat 135 Autocarrier, not the IR-Ready model. We do not promise IR dust removal, especially on black & white.
What does scan-only cost?
Preview pricing, from $18 for a standard uncut 35mm roll. Cut strips, high-res, E-6 (+$4), and half-frame (+$6) add more. Full table on Services. Ordering soon — no checkout.
